This is not a typical souvenir.
Each box includes a booklet with a concise and thoughtfully curated overview of the Republic of Ragusa and life in Dubrovnik from its political system and everyday life to architecture and traditional jewellery.
The cards and the booklet form a whole: visual elements and narrative work together to give meaning to every detail.
HOW THE PROJECT WAS CREATED
The project was developed through collaboration between local professionals designers, illustrators, historians, typographers, and translators.
It is based on research and interpretation, aiming to present Dubrovnik in a way that is both accurate and contemporary.
A custom typeface inspired by Renaissance manuscripts was also created specifically for the project.
MADE IN CROATIA
The cards are produced exclusively in Croatia, using luxury silkscreen, emboss and foil printing, a specialized coating for playing cards, and manufactured in controlled conditions and smaller production batches.
This ensures quality, authenticity, and a strong connection to place.
