MORE THAN PLAYING CARDS
This is not a typical souvenir.
Each box includes a booklet with a concise and thoughtfully curated overview of the Republic of Ragusa and life in Dubrovnik — from its political system and everyday life to architecture and traditional jewellery.
The cards and the booklet form a whole: visual elements and narrative work together to give meaning to every detail.
HOW THE PROJECT WAS CREATED
The project was developed through collaboration between local professionals — designers, illustrators, historians, typographers, and translators.
It is based on research and interpretation, aiming to present Dubrovnik in a way that is both accurate and contemporary.
A custom typeface inspired by Renaissance manuscripts was also created specifically for the project.
MADE IN CROATIA
The cards are produced exclusively in Croatia, using luxury silkscreen, emboss and foil printing, a specialized coating for playing cards, and manufactured in controlled conditions and smaller production batches.
This ensures quality, authenticity, and a strong connection to place.
